ALTERNATIVE SENTENCING AND COMMUNITY SERVICE - ADULT OFFENDERS
Provides placements for non-violent misdemeanants charged with offenses such as shoplifting, underage possession of alcohol, trespassing, or disorderly conduct who are directly referred through the court system. Non-violent felony cases and a limited number of self-referrals are accepted on a case-by-case basis. An assessment of interests and skills is completed and participants are placed at an appropriate site. Participants are required to complete between 25 and 200 hours of community service based on the Judge's order. Offenders charged with alcohol or drug offenses are required to attend a 3 hour Substance Abuse Awareness Class. Participants are referred pre-trial an
